Running late on Tuesday

A Book of Endings
"When was that lunar eclipse meant to happen?" sez I, at around 9.16pm last night. Only to find it had happened, and was happening, and if I hurried outside I could see it ending.

Which it did, for the next hour. I watched because outside was quiet and dark and an almost-summer evening, cloudless and calm. And there's something quite soothing about watching the moon re-appear brighter than you remember, looking more like the face of a white cat than you remember.

I meant to post this last night (and include a note on the fact that, during the eclipse, I saw a shirtless, shoeless man jogging down the street with a backpack on), but directly after the eclipse finished, the internet fritzed and went out. And I was suddenly so tired I had to lie straight down -- even though I hadn't been tired at all before.

When I woke, I remembered a dream of a table and a three-legged dog that needed looking after, both.

It's another sign, isn't it? Like the crazy lady in bandages. Something's coming. Something big.
