Garfield with and without Garfield

In honour of the strip Garfield minus Garfield, which is now launching its own book (original Garfield strips will be printed alongside the Garfield-free version), I thought I'd link to two of my favourite recent Garfield-less moments.

Really, I like it a heck of a lot better as a comic strip about:

the existential angst of a certain young Mr. Jon Arbuckle. It is a journey deep into the mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness and depression in a quiet American suburb.

Also, that irritating fat orange cat is no longer in it, whatever his name was.
