Kindness

Before you know what kindness really is
You must lose things,
Feel the future dissolve in a moment
Like salt in weakened broth.
What you held in your hand,
What you counted and carefully saved.
All this must go before you know
How desolate the landscape can be
Between the regions of kindness

Yeah. I thought so, too.

You know, that poem would work just as well if you replaced the word 'kindness' with 'hatred'.

*snigger* ... it's funny because it's true.

It works for "chocolate" too.

Are we close to discovering that the quote isn't really about anything at all?

No! In fact, it's about *everything*. It's the quote that explains all of human existence.

I like it most when you insert 'lethargy'.

But I like everything most when you insert lethargy.
